Privacy Policy

Private friend event only. Three Putt Rodeo is a private, invitation-only app built for a fun golf weekend among a select group of friends. It is not a public product, not open to the general public, and not offered as a commercial service to strangers. Access is limited to participants we invite for this event. There is no gambling — no wagering, betting, pots, buy-ins, or real-money prizes in or through the App.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Three Putt Rodeo mobile app (“App”) collects and how it is used. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

The App is operated for the Three Putt Rodeo friend group. Contact: michaelcavallaro03@gmail.com. Support site: https://threeputtrodeo.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

Account & profile: email, display name, team affiliation, handicap index, bio, avatar, and admin/captain flags needed to run the event.
Event & scoring data: lineups, match pairings, hole scores, confirmations, results, and related tournament state.
Location (when in use): precise location only while you use on-course GPS features (for example, live yardage). Location is requested with system permission and is used for App Functionality on the course—not to sell or share your whereabouts for marketing.
Device & diagnostics: basic technical data such as device type, OS version, and crash/performance signals that help keep the App working for the weekend.
Advertising identifiers (AdMob): when ads are shown, Google AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers and related ad data to deliver and measure ads. See Google’s policies linked below.

3. How we use information

Run the private Rodeo event (lineups, scoring, standings, GPS).
Authenticate invited players and protect accounts.
Improve reliability for this friend group’s weekend.
Show optional banner ads (when enabled for a player) via Google AdMob.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your on-course location to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted providers to operate the App:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related services) to store event data and sign players in.
Google AdMob to serve banner ads when ads are enabled. AdMob may use device identifiers for advertising. Learn more: Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & privacy.
Apple App Store / Google Play distribution and related platform services governed by those companies’ policies.

5. Advertising (non-personalized)

When ads are shown, the App requests non-personalized ads only. We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission or use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized advertising or cross-app tracking. Google AdMob may still use limited technical signals for frequency capping and aggregated reporting as described in Google’s policies.

6. Data retention

We keep event and account data as long as needed to run the Rodeo and preserve weekend results for this friend group. You may ask us to delete or correct your profile data by emailing the contact above. We may retain limited records as required for security or legal reasons.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including Firebase authentication and access rules). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for adults participating in this private golf event. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Your choices

Decline or revoke location permission in system Settings.
Contact us to access, update, or delete your account data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy for the event. The “Effective” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
